2025-2026 PTO Volunteer Interest

It takes many helping hands to make ALL the fun we have planned for the 2025-2026 school hear a reality! We invite you to check out the many volunteer opportunities available. From Mule Games in the fall to Balloonfest carnival in the spring, and everything in between, we have a lot of fun things planned for Cambridge this school year! Whether you can give a few minutes or several hours, help virtually or on campus, there is something for everyone and every schedule.

Fundraising

Our Fundraising Team oversees all activities that raise money for our school and for the administrative needs of the PTO. Gifts are given to our school, our teachers, and our staff in the form of grants and serve to enrich the educational experience of our students. If you have any questions about these volunteer opportunities, please reach out to VP of Fundraising, Lauren Spalten at lauren.spalten@gmail.com

Balloonfest Committee
Balloonfest is Cambridge's largest and MOST fun fundraiser attracting over 2,000 community attendees. This fun carnival event will take place Friday, April 5, and includes games, activities, food and fun. Committee members will work with the chairs to ensure our fundraising goal is met through underwriting, ticket sales, t-shirts, raffle and silent. They will also ensure the event day runs smoothly by providing volunteer support for decorations, food and activities. Work on this committee typically starts late November and runs through the event in April.

HEB Gift Card Committee
Each month, Cambridge families and community members can purchase HEB Grocery Cards. For every $100 card purchased, HEB gives 5% back to the Cambridge PTO. This is a great way for families to contribute back to our PTO without spending an additional dollar beyond their monthly grocery needs, and the Cambridge PTO is the only AH PTO to offer this fundraiser. Committee members help hand deliver HEB cards to families within our district. Work on this committee is year-round, with cards delivered monthly.

Mule Market Committee
Mule Market is our school's spirit wear shop! We launch on August 1 with fun back-to-school gear. In Spring, we offer a pre-order designs finalized in October, orders placed in November, and delivered in January/February. This team will help promote mule market, work tables at events like Meet the Teacher, Back to School Night, PTO meetings and more! They will also be responsible for helping with the distribution of orders. This job starts over the summer with prep work and is consistent through September with back-to-school sales and distribution. Spring pre-order design, marketing and delivery take place in October - January. Our hope is that some committee members will join the chairs team for the 2025 - 2026 school year!

The Cambridge PTO helps fund this program and volunteers on this committee assist in assembling and delivering bags to classrooms on alternating Friday mornings.

Bike Rodeo is a fun and educational activity for the children at Cambridge. The year round efforts of Cambridge Cares will focus on on meeting specific requests for Cambridge Families in time of need. A partnership between the Cambridge Counselors and PTO, families signing up for this email distribution list are indicating they would be interested in making donations and fulfilling specific requests as need arises. Should you have any questions- or if you are a family in need please reach out to Lauren Bohyer at Lboyher@ahisd.net
