2026-2027 5th Grade Volunteer form

Coordinate all 5th grade leads, act as a point of contact for 5th grade, communicate directly with 5th grade parents, and help ensure all 5th grade activities run smoothly. Attends 2-3 PTO Executive Board meetings .

Works with t-shirt vendor and Woodridge counterpart to design and order and distribute t-shirts for all 5th grade students and teachers. Time of Year: August/September, Amount of Time: approximately 3 hours/month

Coordinate with teachers and Howdy Parade Chair from AHHS. Provide vehicle and signage for 5th grade teachers to ride in parade, recruit parent volunteers to walk parade route with students, provide students with banner from PTO closet to carry in front. Time of Year: event in early October, begin planning in September, Amount of TIme: approximately 5 hours total **must be available day of event

Coordinate with PE coaches on event. Recruit parent volunteers for timing, awards and concessions. Arrange snack and drinks, if needed. Time of Year: event in early May, planning April, Amount of Time: approximately 2 hours **must be available day of event

Coordinate event with 5th grade teachers. Create event invitation and program, all décor and photo opportunity. Time of Year: after Spring Break, planning March/April/May, Amount of Time: approximately 5 hours/month, week of event: 10 hours

Coordinate event with 5th grade teachers. Plan for décor, lunch, DJ and recruit parent volunteers. Event is held the day before the last day of school. Chair must be available on site all day to coordinate. Time of Year: event in May, planning April/May, Amount of Time: 5 hours/month, 6 hours on the day of event

Assist event chair in coordinating logistics for event, to possibly include decorating, catering, recruiting volunteers or any other needs. Time of Year: April-May, Amount of Time: 5 hours/total

Support 5th grade team as they plan the 5th grade field trip.
